Some few months back a lovely young lady came to our clinic for consultations. She had been suffering from a long standing infertility problem of 5 years and needed a way out of this problem. Amazingly, he was not surprised by the result, because he already knew many years ago that he has a low sperm count and was the reason for the infertility in the family. He has been undergoing treatments for his condition for many years without any success.I had to explain to him that with low sperm count, many treatments may improve the quality of the sperm, but may not be able to improve the sperm count significantly, to get to the minimum WHO standard , which is 25million. Many families and cultures in the country are so particular about the type of sex of their child, maybe because of inheritance, pride, glory or probably hope, and they have done everything from trying many sexual tricks to drinking strange concoctions and finally marrying many wives including keeping concubines.

However  there is some sense in the method, because the male sperm cells are known to be weaker but very fast in movement and also dies faster. So if they get to the egg first on her ovulation day, a male child will be born. Though we know in reality it does not just work out that way. To us in diagnostic medicine, we graduated a procedure called folliculometry [monitoring of ovulation by ultrasound] to a higher level by using it to try and determine the sex of a baby. This procedure is very tedious because we need to scan the lady twice a day daily during her ovulation period, especially 3 days before ovulation so as not to miss the first 12 hours when the egg is ruptured [ovulation] and she must have sex within the first 12 hours so that the chances of male sperm cells to get to the egg is very high and we can end up with a male child. Even though this system is more scientific, though still a theory, the chances of success is still very low, less than 15% success rate.

After 16 years of looking for a near perfect system of determining the sex of a baby , if there is really any word like perfect, I learnt about a method, so I had to travel to India to see the scientist . To my surprise it was actually not a secret method , but a confirmed scientific method already in use in advanced countries for years to  choose the sex of a baby in order to cure sex trait inherited diseases. The method is almost perfect , it is known to be 80% accurate, and very good for choosing male babies.

The   system is nothing but a special sperm washing system. During the special sperm wash procedure the male sperm cells float above the female sperm cells and can be collected to inseminate the lady. The only thing is that this method is only possible by intrauterine insemination [IUI].

The question you may want to ask is that if there is any chance of failure with this method? I am a scientist and will only reveal the truth.
