I think , it even happened during this weekend.

There is this old and very great witch doctor, that is known to predict when a volcano will erupt or not.

This old man has been predicting volcanic eruption for years, so he tells the people when to evacuate or when not to evacuate .

So this time, and as usual the scientist checked their reading, and found out that there will be a volcanic eruption, and asked the people to evacuate the nearby villages immediately.

Somehow, the old prophet checked his own mystical reading, and could not see what the scientist were talking about.

After all, he speaks with the gods, and the gods cannot be wrong

So once more he asked the people NOT  TO  EVACUATE

Right now, over 300 people have died and more than 100 are missing

Because they believe an unseen mystical revelation.

So my friend,

I am writing this , to discourage you from listening to old wife fables.

Do not always let others that have failed in their bid to get pregnant, discourage you from trying

One particular study , that I have heard many women run away from is HSG

They give so many reasons for avoiding it like  The instruments are many,They are scarred, It is very painful, It is this it is that.

These  ladies create so many wrong air around the test, that when a new lady lies on the couch for the study, she is already panicking and very difficult.

Many times we had to  discontinue this test in the middle of the examination , because the lady cannot just continue.

My friend, I am here now to be a scientist in this volcanic situation and give you a purely scientific analysis, why HSG is a super test for you.

Let me give you a short story, about 3 weeks ago I was in the UK for a fertility conference, and we were looking at studies that get infertility couples pregnant quickly.

One major one that came out is HSG, everyone agreed that because of the flushing nature of HSG, it is known to open up blocked tubes and clear mucous that create problems for the sperm.

So that is why I am telling you it is scientific.

Yeah, if you have not done HSG before or have never heard about it

You will just be thinking what the hell are you talking about

Dont worry my friend, I will explain

HSG  also called Hysterosalpingogram is an important test of female fertility potential.

The HSG test is a radiology procedure usually done in the radiology department of a hospital or outpatient radiology facility.

It is done by injecting radiographic contrast or dye into the uterine cavity through the vagina and cervix.

The uterine cavity fills with dye and if the fallopian tubes are open, dye fills the tubes and spills into the abdominal cavity.

This determines if the fallopian tubes are open or blocked and whether a blockage is located at the junction of the tube and uterus (proximal) or whether it is at the other end of the fallopian tube (distal). These are the areas where the tube is most commonly blocked.

Yeah that is it

HSG is mainly used to test the fallopian tubes for blockage or patency

But because we inject dye, it can also clear some obstructions, that is why we call it a treatment.

You see some ladies do not really have a serious problem of infertility, maybe they just have some thick mucous blocking their tubes, especially after C&S , infection or even unknown causes.

That is why you can see a lady that has one or more children , but seem not to be able to get pregnant again , sometimes for 4 or more years.

But once we do an HSG

BANG, she is pregnant again.

A young lady that has never been pregnant before, got married and has been seeking pregnancy for months or years.

But once we do an HSG

BANG, she is pregnant .

I have seen this situations time and time again

It may not work for everyone

But I tell you one thing , it has worked for more ladies than less.

Get it!!   MORE  LADIES  THAN  LESS

So do not let anyone discourage you, go ahead try an HSG study, it could just change your life.

Now , now, I know

You will say you have tried it before and it was painful.

I cannot agree less, there could be some pain with HSG

But I believe it depends on the lady’s pain threshold.

That means that everyone has a different way they react to pains.

This problem of pains with HSG has also disturbed me for years

So I have done everything to reduce the pain in all my clients , by placing them on some injections before the procedures.

This has not really helped

Until, recently when I decided to import some HSG rubber catheter.

This was phenomenon,

Though far more expensive,  BUT  GREAT

The pains just disappeared.

Now back to my malaria issue

Hey Friend, just imagine, I have done everything humanly possible to avoid mosquito bites and malaria, but now I feel like I have failed.

Apart from the fact that I spray the whole apartment each night with insecticide and also use mosquito net.

How in the earth , did this over imaginative and innovative mosquitoes overcome all my barriers to bite me and my family, injecting us with all these malaria poison.

This is not FAIR

Until I get struck down with malaria, I never imagine how much physically, emotionally and Financially it is costing me.

Imagine all the work I have left undone, all those clients that personally want to see me, but could not because I am down.

That is terrible.

It is definitely  terrible on me, but still God is gracious to me and many of you.

Even though malaria is a major scourge, it has not affected your fertility

In the mist of the scourge we are able to get pregnant and have children.

However not everyone is that lucky

You see , for some people malaria could be a major cause of their infertility.

Now, malaria is not a well documented cause of infertility, but it can cause it

Not as malaria parasite infestation of the sex organs, but because of its symptoms.

One of the major symptoms is the abnormally high temperature and fever.

High temperature are especially a no go area for the reproductive organs.

You see, the hormones in a lady’s body that help her do all her fertility functions like menstruation and ovulation, all work within a normal body temperature.

This can become disturbed when she has malaria and the temperature goes higher than normal body temperature of 37 degrees.

The hormones will start acting abnormally and can affect her ovulation, so stopping fertilisation and pregnancy.

Also the high temperature in her vagina and womb can also affect the sperm and fertilisation.

That is even if the couple can ever be in any mood , or even have strength to have sex

In short , malaria are well known to cause miscarriages.

All these affect the lady

But do you know that it is the man that is even worse hit by malaria

High temperature is a complete NO for male reproductive organs.

That is why God, in His infinite wisdom, anatomically placed the scrotum and the testicles outside the body.

Many of you will think that the testicles  [ or simply call them the BALLS ] are placed outside because of protection.

Yeah, not protection from physical attack, but protection from unusually high body temperature.

The scrotum act in a very mysterious ways when it comes to temperature changes.

If the temperature is high , it becomes larger to give a wide surface area to lose heat.

If the temperature is low , it becomes smaller to conserve heat.

So you see, the location of the BALLS is mainly to control heat effect, and not physical protection.

That is why if your husband pisses you off, and you decide to ‘’KICK HIS BALLS’’

I tell you one thing, you are assured he will never offend you again.

However , I will please appeal to you, not to try that

It is an easy way to family dispute, failed marriage and Divorce.

Everyman takes any ‘’ATTACK TO HIS BALLS’’ very seriously, and I mean literally ‘’VERY SERIOUSLY’’.

Now what does high temperature from malaria infection do to the BALLS.

High temperature reduces or even destroy the sperm producing ability of the BALLS and this does lead to low sperm count or NO sperm at all.

Without a good quantity and quality of sperm, there is no way fertilisation can take place and no way pregnancy can happen.

So in a way , malaria can be a cause of infertility.

Hi Friends,

After three weeks of travelling and studying, I finally had a chance to be able to attend church yesterday.

It was really refreshing been in the ‘’House of the Lord’’.

The Message by the pastor was titled ‘’ The Mystery Of Love’’ where we were taught that the greatest thing in the scriptures is to LOVE.

We are to love God and also to love our fellow human beings.

While in the church many thoughts went through my mind.

I now understood why in the area of seeking pregnancy, some couples get it easy and some have to wait for a while before they get it.

Yes it was all about the LOVE around them.

Of course as a Diagnostic Fertility Specialist, whenever I attend to clients, it is very important I attend to them in ‘’LOVE’’ , carrying their problems like it was mine.

Let them feel , I am there with them in their problems, or else the solution may be delayed

Remember the scriptures  ‘’ Husbands LOVE your wives , even as Christ loved the church and gave His life for her’’

In cases of infertility and seeking of pregnancy, the husband must continually show LOVE to the wife at all time, this will put the ladies body and system at equilibrium and help her fertility and ability to conceive easily.

Of course, many husbands will say ‘’I LOVE my wife and I support her during this trying periods’’

Great statement.

Do you know that LOVE is practical

Remember what the scriptures said ‘’...  Christ gave His life for the Church’’

I am not saying you should kill yourself to prove your LOVE

What I am saying is that you should be her PROTECTOR

You should protect her from all the insults and assaults from your relatives.

Yes

That is it

‘’Because a lady is nothing but a moving or walking container of Hormones’’

Yes, this is scientific

That statement looks like a funny joke, but in actual fact, many parts of a lady are controlled entirely by hormones released into her blood streams, from childhood to adulthood.

I want to spare you the many names of the different hormones ruling the life of a lady.

However think about it, if the ovaries do not produce certain hormones, the lady cannot menstruate, her breasts cannot be developed, even the ovaries themselves cannot be well developed to produce eggs , that leads to ovulation . The organ producing the hormone influencing the ovaries is in her neck called the Thyroid

Just think about it, one hormone controls another hormone, that controls another type of hormone in a different location, that affects an organ.

Look at it again, many ladies suffer from FIBROIDS

But fibroids are nothing but hormone induced growths

What about ovarian cysts, just the same.

Do you know that hormonal changes in women can be caused by just changes in her mood, like been stressed, worried or disturbed.

Hey ladies remember, once in a while something bad happens, or you get a bad news, your menstrual period may just start flowing , even a week or two less than when you were expecting it.

So my conclusion here is that for a lady to have a normal period, ovulate normally and get pregnant, she has to be in a less stressed mood.

So once more husbands need to show more understanding and LOVE to their wives , especially when they are seeking for pregnancy.

That is not the time to quarrel or put her down, and make her stressful, you could just be delaying the pregnancy.

If all these are done , the lady will be ina very peaceful mood and her body will work properly, her hormones will perform at optimum and definitely childlessness will be a thing of the past.

Some few months ago, an anxious female patient visited our clinic , she has not had any child nor pregnancy for 6 years. Her husband , and her husband’s family were putting serious pressure on her.

She came over to us to have her fallopian tubes checked out by the ‘’MIRACLE TEST’’ called HSG [Hysterosalpingography].

Some two months after the HSG test was done, she got pregnant, now she is eight months pregnant, heavy and getting ready to deliver her first baby after 6 years in marriage.

TUBAL BLOCKAGE

To understand what blocked fallopian tubes are, you need to know what a fallopian tube is. The fallopian tubes are two thin tubes, one on each side of the uterus, which help lead the mature egg from the ovaries to the uterus.

When an obstruction prevents the egg from traveling down the tube, the woman has a blocked fallopian tube. It can occur on one or both sides. This is also known as tubal factor infertility, and is the cause of infertility in 40% of infertile women.

CAUSES OF TUBAL BLOCKAGE

[1] Adhesions to the funnel ends of the fallopian tubes due to pelvic infections

[2] Intrauterine contraceptive device use, that get infected in-utero, can lead to tubal blockage

[3] An appendix that ruptures produces abscess and can damage the tubes

[4] Previous surgery to the pelvic or abdominal regions can lead to post surgical collections and post healing adhesions, so destroying the fallopian tubes

[5] An extra uterine pregnancy [ectopic ] in any of the fallopian tubes could lead to surgical removal of the tubes

[6] Congenital anomaly of the uterus and fallopian tubes

[7] Ectopic placement of endometrial tissues on the tubes can lead to adhesion [endometriosis]

[8] Uterine fibroids can put pressure on the fallopian tubes so obstructing them

[9] Mucous Plugs in the fallopian tubes

MUCOUS PLUG

Mucous plugs are generally thought to form as a response to inflammation

or tissue injury. Just as your knee might swell if you’ve received a trauma to that area,

the body sends white blood cells and repair mechanisms to the fallopian

tube that has become inflamed or infected to help the area

heal.
